August 22, 1956 - Paul Leo Molitor nicknamed "Molly" and "The Ignitor", is an American former Major League Baseball designated hitter and infielder. A seven-time All-Star, Paul Molitor played with the Milwaukee Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins from 1978 to 1998. Molitor finished with 3,319 career hits and 504 stolen bases. He won four Silver Slugger Awards as the best offensive player at his position. Molitor was a member of the Blue Jays’ team that won the 1993 World Series, when he was named the Series’ MVP.
