July 26, 1957 - Jeff Blatnick is a former American Super Heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler and sports commentator. After recovering from the removal of his spleen and appendix due to Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Jeff Blatnick won the gold medal in the super heavyweight class of Greco-Roman wrestling at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Prior to his Olympic feat, Blatnick won NCAA Division II heavyweight wrestling championships in 1978 and 1979 while at Springfield College in Massachusetts. He later served as a broadcast analyst for Ultimate Fighting Championships matches.
