July 31, 1965 - Scott William Brooks is an American professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player. Scott Brooks is the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA. He was NBA Coach of the Year in 2009-10 and guided the team to the NBA Finals in 2011-12. Prior to his coaching career, Brooks was a point guard in the NBA from 1998 to 1998.
