August 20, 1931 - Donald "Don" King is an American boxing promoter. Characterized by his wild, white hair combed upward, Don King is arguably the most famous boxing promoter of all-time. King promoted ‘The Rumble in the Jungle,’ between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali, and the ‘Thrilla in Manila,’ between Ali and Joe Frazier. King has also promoted championship fights of Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield, Julio César Chávez, Félix Trinidad, Roy Jones, Jr. and many other boxers.
