August 12, 1959 - Lynette Woodard is a retired American basketball player. The first female member of the Harlem Globetrotters, Lynette Woodard was a gifted basketball player who was a four-time All-American at the University of Kansas from 1978 to 1981. Woodard was a member of the US women’s basketball team that won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. From 1997 to 1998, Woodard played for the Cleveland Rockers and Detroit Shock of the WNBA. She was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.
