July 23, 1984 - Brandon Dawayne Roy is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association. His nickname was "B-Roy", but he was also referred to as "The Natural" by announcer Brian Wheeler. On December 10, 2011, Roy announced his retirement from basketball due to a degenerative knee condition, though in 2012, he expressed an interest in returning to the NBA. On July 6, 2012 Brandon Roy has reached a verbal agreement to join the Minnesota Timberwolves.
