August 6, 1960 - Dale Ellis is a retired American professional basketball player, who played in the National Basketball Association. A one-time NBA All-Star and feared outside shooter, Dale Ellis scored more than 19,000 points while playing from 1983 to 2000 with the Dallas Mavericks, Seattle SuperSonics, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Charlotte Hornets. He won the NBA Three-Point Shootout in 1989. While in college at Tennessee, Ellis was a consensus All-American in 1983.
