This Day In Basketball History:

July 28, 1972 - San Diego needs two pro basketball teams? Apparently lots of smart people thought so in 1972. On same day the American Basketball Association announces that San Diego will receive a franchise (which shall be called the Conquistadors) and the NBA's Buffalo Braves relocate to San Diego and are renamed the San Diego Clippers.
