July 21, 1980 - Carsten Charles "CC" Sabathia is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball. A six-time All-Star, CC Sabathia has been a durable pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees from 2001 to 2012. Sabathia won the 2007 American League Cy Young Award while with the Indians and helped lead the Yankees to the 2009 World Series title, including being named the 2009 American League Championship Series MVP. Sabathia became the highest paid pitcher in MLB history.
