Happy Birthday: Tamika Catchings

July 21, 1979 - Tamika Devonne Catchings is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA and Turkish team Galatasaray. She is a prolific scorer close to and far from the basket, as well as a capable rebounder, ball handler, and defender. A seven-time WNBA All-Star, Tamika Catchings is among the best women’s basketball players of all time. She has played her entire WNBA career with the Indiana Fever, for whom she played while being named 2011 WNBA MVP. Prior to turning pro, Catchings was an All-American at the University of Tennessee. She was also a member of the U.S. women’s national teams that won gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics.
